An analysis of the important role of rotary vane vacuum pump in the process of pumping

The vane vacuum pump plays an important role in the process of pumping. It sucks gas from the air inlet, compresses the gas that has been absorbed, and then discharges the pump. The system can transport the extracted gas from the extracted space to the atmosphere outside the system from the direction of the air inlet to complete the extraction. Two parts of gas are sucked in and two parts are discharged by the rotor rotating once.

The rotary vane vacuum pump has the following functions:

(1) Seal the exhaust valve to prevent the atmosphere from entering the pump through the exhaust valve.

(2) A small amount of pump oil enters into the pump from the exhaust valve and other gaps to play the role of lubrication and cooling, and forms an oil film at the gap between the rotor and the pump body, between the rotor and the rotating disc, which improves the sealing performance and prevents the gas with high pressure discharged from the pump cavity from leaking back to the suction cavity.

(3) When the vacuum degree of the rotary vane vacuum pump is high, the amount of gas is small. After compression, the gas in the exhaust cavity is still not enough to open the exhaust valve. If there is vacuum pump oil in the pump cavity, the exhaust valve can be opened by means of the incompressibility of the oil to achieve exhaust.

In order to ensure good vacuum performance of mechanical vacuum system, there are certain requirements for vacuum pump oil:

(1) The saturated steam pressure of the mechanical pump oil of the rotary vane vacuum pump should be low enough, usually at 20 ℃, the saturated steam pressure is not more than 5.3 × 10-3 PA.

(2) Mechanical pump oil shall have proper viscosity, which is generally specified to be within the range of (47-57x10-6m2 / s) at 50 ℃.
