such as critical compression ratio, limiting vacuum degree and efficiency, are
closely related to circulation speed. Generally speaking, if the circulation
speed is too small, the vacuum pump will not reach the predetermined critical
compression ratio, and the limit vacuum will also be reduced, resulting in the
narrow working range of the vacuum pump and the increase of the shaft power in
the high vacuum area;
On the other hand, if the circulation speed is too
high, although the critical compression ratio and the limit vacuum degree of the
vacuum pump can be increased, the efficiency of the vacuum pump will be reduced
and the shaft power will be increased. In addition, due to the influence of
vaporization pressure of liquid ring medium, the critical compression ratio will
not increase proportionally with the increase of circulation speed. Therefore,
the cycle speed should not be too high. How to choose the circulating speed of
vacuum pump reasonably, not only has excellent performance, but also has low
energy consumption, which is a problem worthy of discussion in the design of
liquid ring vacuum pump.
When the impeller rotates and drives the liquid
to rotate to form a liquid ring, the liquid ring, as the boundary of the closed
cavity, continuously obtains kinetic energy from the impeller in the suction
area. At the large eccentric point of the impeller, the circumferential velocity
of the impeller reaches a large value. In the compression area, the gas is
compressed in the form of "active cooling", and a part of the kinetic energy
obtained by the impeller is transferred to the gas when the force increases, so
that the gas pressure increases The working process of liquid ring vacuum pump
is actually the process of energy conversion in impeller, liquid ring and gas,
which conforms to the energy level street law.
