Application of vacuum system

Vacuum technology is widely used in various processes, such as vacuum smelting furnace, RH vacuum treatment, vacuum spraying, vacuum distillation, vacuum concentration, vacuum welding, vacuum casting, vacuum coating, vacuum surface treatment, vacuum cathode ray tube, vacuum drying, vacuum sterilization, food packaging, development and utilization of solar energy, particle accelerator, controlled nuclear fusion and aerospace, etc 。 The pumping system used to obtain and measure the vacuum degree with specific requirements is called vacuum system.

There are many kinds of vacuum systems used in different processes, which can be divided into two types. One is the dynamic vacuum system, which relies on the continuous operation of the equipment by vacuum, and continuously exhausts the gas entering the system to obtain a stable vacuum. There is gas flow in the system, and the pressure varies from place to place. The second is static vacuum system. It does not have any connecting point with the outside world. After the vacuum is established, it can be maintained unchanged for a long time without a vacuum pump, and the pressure in the system is equal everywhere.

The vacuum system consists of vacuum equipment body (such as vacuum furnace, vacuum container, etc.), vacuum pump, cold trap, vacuum pipe, valve, vacuum gauge, bellows and filter.

Vacuum system is an important part of direct air cooling system. Its function is to establish and maintain low back pressure of steam turbine and vacuum of condenser. During the start-up of the unit, the accumulated air in some steam and water pipe systems and equipment shall be removed in order to speed up the start-up speed. During normal operation, the steam, drain, air and other non condensable gases leaked into the vacuum system should be removed in time to maintain the vacuum of the air condenser and reduce the corrosion of the equipment. The shaft seal and low-pressure heater in the low-pressure part of the steam turbine also rely on the normal operation of the vacuum extraction system to establish the corresponding vacuum.
