Application of rotary vane vacuum pump in refrigeration system

Vacuum pump is used to extract gas in closed system to obtain vacuum. At present, rotary vane vacuum pump is widely used in refrigeration maintenance. It can pump the gas in the refrigeration system from 105Pa to below 1pA. 


The vane vacuum pump uses a rotor inlaid with two sliding blades, which is eccentrically installed in the stator cavity. The outer circle of the rotor is tangent to the surface of the pump cavity. When the pump rotor rotates, centrifugal force and spring pressure make the top of the vane keep in contact with the inner wall of the pump chamber. Driven by the motor, the eccentric rotor drives the vane to rotate in the stator cavity, so that the volume of the chamber at the air inlet gradually expands, the air pressure drops, and the gas is inhaled; at the same time, the volume of the chamber connected with the exhaust port is gradually reduced, and the air pressure is increased. After reaching a certain pressure, the exhaust valve is opened to discharge the gas, so as to achieve the purpose of extracting gas and obtaining vacuum.

When using rotary vane vacuum pump for vacuum pumping, in order to make the system reach a higher vacuum degree, the following points should be noted:

(1) It is necessary to ensure that the oil in the pump reaches the standard line and the oil quality is clear. If the oil becomes dirty and saponified, it should be replaced; the new oil should be the special oil for the vacuum pump.

(2) The filter screen should be cleaned frequently to ensure smooth gas path.

(3) The vacuum pump with proper pumping speed should be selected according to the size of the system, so as to avoid damage to the rotating plate due to too long working time and high temperature rise of the pump.
