Liquid ring vacuum pump coupling is a kind of installation which connects the driving shaft and the driven shaft together. It is composed of motor coupling and liquid ring vacuum pump coupling.
In the installation, the motor coupling and liquid ring vacuum pump coupling must be concentric, and there must be a certain and equal axial clearance between the two ends, otherwise the operation and service life of the liquid ring vacuum pump will be seriously affected. Therefore, the correct coupling device is an important part of the assembly work.
The axis of liquid ring vacuum pump shaft and motor shaft should be on the same continuous line. If there is a certain inclination (i.e. the so-called different axial degrees), the liquid ring vacuum pump will run unsteadily, and produce vibration and noise, which will cause bearing wear and affect the service life. Therefore, when installing motor coupling and liquid ring vacuum pump coupling, there should be different axial requirements.
Because the outer circle dimensions of motor coupling and liquid ring vacuum pump coupling are equal, different axial degrees can be checked through the outer circle. The inspection method is to place a ruler on the outer circle of the motor coupling and the liquid ring vacuum pump coupling, and check whether the straight edge can all adhere to the outer circle. If it is closely attached to one coupling and there is a gap with the other coupling, it is clarified that the two couplings are not concentric and need to be adjusted. In this way, check the motor coupling and liquid ring vacuum pump coupling at the four positions up and down, until they are very close and there is no gap.
