When the pressure in the left chamber is gradually lower than that in the pump chamber, according to the principle of air pressure balance, the gas in the pump chamber is sucked into the left chamber one by one through the suction valve. At this time, the suction valve is in the suction, which completes half of the working process of the vacuum pump.

When the piston moves to the right, the left chamber of the cylinder is filled with gas. When the piston moves from right to left, the suction valve of dry vacuum pump will close automatically. As the piston moves from right to left, the gas is slowly compressed.
