Development of rotary vane vacuum pump

Rotary vane vacuum pump is a kind of variable displacement mechanical vacuum pump which can obtain vacuum by rotating the rotor and the vane which can slide in the rotor groove. When the working fluid is used to lubricate and fill the dead gap in the pump cavity, separating the exhaust valve from the atmosphere, it is commonly referred to as the oil seal rotary vane vacuum pump. Without working fluid, it is dry rotary vane vacuum pump.

In the oil seal rotary vane vacuum pump, it is customary to call the belt drive as rotary vane vacuum pump, and the pump connected directly with the motor or with a coupling is called a direct rotary vane vacuum pump. In each pump, there are single and double stages. In a single-stage pump, due to the selection of different structural forms and parameters, the pump's limit pressure and use are also different.

Their common characteristics are simple structure, easy to use, can start from atmospheric pressure, can directly exhaust the atmosphere, eccentric mass is small, easy to maintain, the limit pressure of two-stage pump is 6.

Since W. Gaede invented the rotary vane pump in 1909 and obtained a German patent, he invented the air-ballast pump in 1936, and obtained a patent in 1941, the rotary vane vacuum pump has been widely used and continuously improved. At the end of the 1960s, there was an international trend of increasing speed and miniaturization of direct links. In the early 1970s, direct links appeared. By the early 1980s, a series of improved products were introduced. There were a variety of accessories for users to choose, which could protect the pump or the environment. The reliability of the pump was improved by improving its structure.Roots_Vacuum_Pump
