Roots vacuum pump unit structure

Roots vacuum pump has the characteristics of small volume, smooth operation, high speed, large pumping speed in a wide pressure range, no friction in the pump and clean vacuum. Roots vacuum unit is the most common coarse, low and medium vacuum acquisition unit in vacuum system. It can work independently and can also be used as the front-stage pump and pre-pump of other pumps. Therefore, Roots vacuum unit has been widely used in metallurgy, petrochemical industry, light industry paper making, electronics and food industry.

vacuum pump is divided into low vacuum (direct air exhaust) roots pump and medium vacuum roots pump (mechanical booster pump) according to the working pressure range. When Roots pump operates under the condition of high pressure difference, because of the heat generated in the compression process, there is a big temperature difference between the rotor and the pump body, which causes the rotor in the pump cavity to be stuck because of expansion, so it can not work for a long time under high pressure difference. Air-cooled Roots vacuum pump can withstand high pressure difference and can be used for direct air exhaust. However, when the system is pumped rapidly from atmospheric pressure to process requirements, Roots vacuum pump needs large shaft power to start pre-pumping. In the stable operation stage of the system, only a very low pressure difference is needed, and only a small shaft power is needed to maintain operation. Reasonable configuration of relief valve can allow roots pump to start under high discharge pressure, and reduce the requirement of shaft power in start-up stage by controlling its pressure difference to keep within a certain range, so as to reduce the allocation of motor power of roots pump. Therefore, through the combination of Roots vacuum pump configuration and use of vacuum relief valve, can save energy and reduce consumption, improve the reliability of product operation purposes.
