Water Ring Vacuum Unit in Chemical Industry

The water ring vacuum unit is equipped with a proper amount of water in the pump body as working circulating fluid. When the impeller rotates clockwise, water is thrown back and forth by the impeller. Due to the action of centrifugal force, water forms a closed ring whose thickness is roughly equal according to the shape of the pump chamber. The inner surface of the upper part of the water ring is just tangent to the hub of the impeller, and the inner surface of the lower part of the water ring is in contact with the top of the blade (in fact, the blade has a certain insertion depth in the water ring). At this time, a crescent-shaped space is formed between the hub of the impeller and the water ring. The impeller divides the water ring into several small cavities with equal number of blades. If the starting point is 0 degrees above the impeller, the volume of the chamber increases from small to large by 180 degrees before the impeller rotates, and is connected with the suction port of the end face. At this time, the gas is absorbed, and at the end of the suction, the chamber is isolated from the suction port; when the impeller continues to rotate, the chamber becomes smaller and compresses the gas; when the chamber is in phase with the exhaust port, the gas is compressed. At the same time, the gas is discharged from the water ring vacuum pump.

With the rapid development of chemical vacuum unit, liquid ring vacuum unit, water ring vacuum unit, pharmaceutical vacuum unit and multi-stage vacuum unit technology, water ring vacuum unit has been highly valued in various industries in obtaining rough vacuum. Because the gas compression in the water-ring vacuum unit is isothermal, it can extract flammable and explosive gases, in addition, it can also extract gas containing dust and water.
