Roots Vacuum Pump in Petrochemical Industry

Roots vacuum pump (Roots pump) refers to a variable-volume vacuum pump, whose two blade-shaped rotors rotate in reverse synchronization. There is a small gap between the rotor, the rotor and the inner wall of the pump housing, but there is no contact.

Application occasions of Roots vacuum pump: Roots vacuum pump is widely used in the matching of single crystal furnace and ingot furnace, as well as vacuum plating, vacuum drying, vacuum degassing, vacuum impregnation, vacuum brazing, vacuum heat treatment, vacuum concentration and true in many occasions, such as film plating, electrotechnics, smelting, chemical industry, ceramics, aviation, laboratory, etc. Air reaction, high altitude simulation test and so on, it can not be used alone, it can be used with sliding valve vacuum pump, screw vacuum pump, rotary vane vacuum pump, water ring vacuum pump and other front-stage pumps to form a vacuum unit, to obtain better vacuum, higher pumping efficiency.


Principle of Roots Vacuum Pump: Vacuum pump can be pumped by a pair of synchronous and reverse rotating blade rotors in the pump chamber to move the gas. Roots vacuum pump refers to a pair of mechanical vacuum pumps with synchronous high-speed rotating sole-shaped rotors. This pump can not be pumped separately. The front stage needs to be equipped with oil seals, water rings and other direct air discharge. The working principle of Roots pump is similar to that of Roots blower. Because of the continuous rotation of the rotor, the exhausted gas is sucked from the intake port to the space V0 between the rotor and the pump shell, and then discharged through the exhaust port. Since the space of V0 is completely closed after suction, there is no compression and expansion of gas in the pump chamber. But when the top of the rotor rotates around the edge of the exhaust port and the space of V0 is connected with the exhaust side, because the pressure of the exhaust side is high, some of the gas rushes back into the space of v0, which makes the pressure of the gas increase suddenly. When the rotor continues to rotate, the gas is discharged out of the pump.

Characteristics of Roots Vacuum Pump in Petrochemical Industry

The working characteristics of Roots vacuum pump are as follows: (1) the pumping speed is faster in the range of working pressure; (2) the vibration is small and the operation is stable; (3) the high speed can be obtained without lubrication because of small friction; (4) the structure is simple and compact; (5) insensitive to dust and water vapor in the gas; (5) the compression is low and the effect of hydrogen extraction is poor; (5) the surface processing and inspection of the rotor. It is difficult to check; _Start up quickly, consume less power, and cost of operation and maintenance is low.
