Piston Vacuum Pump Advantage

Piston vacuum pump is a very durable machine. The eccentric wheel drives the sliding valve to rotate along the cylinder wall. A large amount of oil pushed ahead of the eccentric wheel forms a large area of sealing surface, which has little effect on mechanical abrasion. In addition to sliding valves, the mechanism can automatically compensate for wear. At the same time, there is inherent imbalance in the trench, and the vibration degree can be properly controlled according to the balance method adopted. The piston vacuum pump is not sealed by oil immersion, and its oil flow is controlled by an automatic control valve in an accessible oil circuit.

The vacuum retention of the pump is not good because the static contact between the slide valve and the cylinder wall is weak. The working noise of the sliding valve vacuum pump without air ballast is slightly higher than that of the rotary vane vacuum pump with the same size (especially the pump immersed in oil). But the working noise of piston vacuum pump is lower when using air-ballast. The recovery time of two-stage pump in rapid circulation is short because of the large amount of oil splash caused by the pumping mechanism inside the pump. However, if necessary improvements are not made, the long-term operation of double-stage sliding valve vacuum pump under high pressure is not ideal.
The most prominent advantage of piston vacuum pump is that it is insensitive to mechanical damage and can be easily repaired by unskilled people. The main disadvantage is the inherent high vibration, especially when the non-equilibrium form is adopted.
