Start-up steps of water ring vacuum pump

Water ring vacuum pump is used to suck or compress air and other non-corrosive, water-insoluble, solid-free gases. Because the compression process of gas is isothermal in the working process, it is not easy to occur danger when compressing and sucking explosive gases, so it is more widely used. What should we pay attention to when we first use startup? Let's have a brief understanding of the correct way of startup.

1. Open the inlet and outlet valves of the circulating cooling water of the water ring vacuum pump and the main pump to ensure the normal inlet and outlet of the circulating cooling water.

2. Close the drainage valve of the buffer tank of the water pump, start the water pump, and slowly open the intake valve of the water ring vacuum pump after normal operation (noise balance of motor and pump).

3. When the system pressure reaches the allowable inlet pressure set by the intermediate pump, the intermediate pump is started. If the automatic control gear is adopted, the automatic control gear is directly dialed, and the start-up process of the unit is automated.

4. If manually controlled, when the outlet pressure of the intermediate pump reaches the allowable inlet pressure of the main pump, start the water-ring vacuum pump.


5. When the pump reaches the limit vacuum or maximum pressure, open the valve in the intake pipe and the pump starts to work normally.

6. The best way is to adjust the packing cap when the water drops out.

7. Adjust the water supply of the pump through the valve to ensure that the pump operates under the required technical conditions, so as to minimize the power consumption, meet the performance indicators and meet the working requirements.

8. Adjust the water supply to the steam-water separator in order to use the minimum water consumption to ensure the technical specifications required by the pump.

No matter what equipment is used, the correct start-up should be used strictly in accordance with the operating rules, so as to better protect the equipment.
