Water ring vacuum pump is a kind of vacuum pump which is installed in the water pump shell eccentrically with the impeller with blades. The impeller rotates in the pump shell to form a water ring, which acts as a piston and draws air by changing the volume to form a vacuum.
It can be seen that the water ring vacuum pump is to pump gas, not liquid. If the water ring pump is used as a liquid conveying machine, the liquid in the pump cavity of the water ring pump will not be removed in time, resulting in excessive pressure in the pump cavity, resulting in motor overload, motor phase loss, blocked exhaust and other components dragged by the impeller.
If it is necessary to pump out water vapor and water through water ring pump in the actual application process, a pre separator shall be arranged between water ring pump and heat exchanger, so as to separate gas and water, and then achieve the purpose of vacuum negative pressure pumping. So water ring vacuum pump can not be used alone to pump water.
