When the impeller of the liquid ring vacuum pump rotates, the water is thrown around by the impeller. Because of the action of centrifugal force, the water forms a closed ring which is approximately equal in thickness depending on the shape of the pump chamber. In the working process, the suction port is connected with the pumped system, and the system is sucked to form a vacuum. The pump body is equipped with a proper amount of water called working fluid. 1. The working fluid is usually clean water at room temperature. If the water quality is easy to scale, it should be softened and reused.
2. During operation, part of the working fluid in the liquid-ring vacuum pump will be continuously supplied to the liquid-ring vacuum pump as the gas is discharged.
3. When using different working fluids, it is necessary to pay attention to the material of the flow passage parts.
4. When the working fluid is clean water at room temperature, the working water at lower temperature should be used as far as possible.
5. The working fluid should not contain solid particles, if mixed with dirt or particles, filters should be installed on the feeding pipeline to prevent parts from wearing or impellers from being jammed in the liquid ring vacuum pump.

The liquid ring vacuum pump has many advantages, such as close to isothermal compression, insensitive to dust, gas inhalation can entrap liquid or a large amount of water vapor, etc. It has been widely used in power, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other fields. The working fluid in the pump body not only plays the role of forming liquid ring, but also takes away the heat of gas compression and the clearance between the sealing distribution plate and the impeller end face.
