Vacuum systems used in auxiliary systems

Vacuum systems used in auxiliary systems of nuclear power plants are mainly vacuum purification, vacuum degassing and vacuum distillation. Vacuum purification is mainly used for the circulating purification of coolants in nuclear power plants. During the cooling process of primary water loop, oxygen, hydrogen, chlorine and other gases free from cooling water are removed, and then ion exchange purification is carried out. Vacuum degassing is used to remove fission gases in secondary coolants and vacuum the upper part of the liquid to make the water boil at room temperature. Vacuum distillation is used to treat wastewater containing tritium and separate tritium water and light water in vacuum.vacuum-pump-system-in-oil-and-gas-industry

In addition, the activated carbon adsorption method in vacuum process and the vacuum method in removing krypton 85 from waste gas of pressure reactor process are mostly used in the treatment of wastewater from boiling water reactor. In general, vacuum technology has been widely used in the three wastes treatment of nuclear power.

The working principle of the vacuum system is to start the system. The main vacuum pump group starts working until the vacuum degree in the vacuum tank reaches the set upper limit. The vacuum pump stops running automatically. The vacuum in the central vacuum system is maintained by the vacuum check valve on the pipeline automatically. If the vacuum in the vacuum tank decreases due to the working requirement and falls below the set lower limit, the standby vacuum pump set will start automatically. As a result, the vacuum degree of the vacuum system can maintain a stable vacuum source and meet the production requirements.
