Roots vacuum pump refers to a pair of mechanical vacuum pumps with synchronous high-speed rotating sole-shaped rotors. This pump can not be pumped alone. The front stage needs to be equipped with oil seals and water rings to form Roots vacuum unit to directly discharge the atmosphere.
In general, it is more advantageous for Roots vacuum unit to choose water ring pump as the front pump than other vacuum pumps. This is mainly due to its ability to extract a large amount of condensable steam, especially when the mechanical vacuum pump with gas-ballast and oil seal has insufficient capacity to remove condensable steam, or the solvent used can deteriorate the performance of the pump oil, or It is more obvious when the vacuum system does not allow oil pollution.
