What is the working principle of hydraulic ejector

Hydraulic ejector has double functions of vacuumizing and condensing secondary steam. It is a vacuum unit composed of nozzle, suction chamber, conical guide baffle, mixing chamber, throat, diffusion pipe and inlet pump. 


The hydraulic ejector uses the pressure of the water pump to put water into the nozzle. The water pump adopts 3k-9 water pump in series, or uses five-stage centrifugal pump. The flow of the pump must meet the demand of secondary steam cooling water. Its head must also meet the requirements of water inlet pressure of hydraulic ejector. When the water with a certain pressure passes through the nozzle with small cross-section area, a high-speed jet of 15-30 M / s will be produced at the nozzle outlet. After a certain distance, the jet water will converge on the same focus accurately. Due to the increase of kinetic energy at the nozzle outlet, the potential energy at the nozzle outlet will be reduced, resulting in a certain negative pressure. The secondary steam will be continuously sucked in to cool it with the top entry The water is in direct contact with cross flow, and carries out strong heat and mass exchange, which makes the secondary steam condense into liquid, and makes its volume decrease rapidly. Thus, a certain vacuum degree is obtained and the concentration process can be carried out smoothly. At the same time, the non condensing gas is pumped out by the high-speed jet beam and discharged out of the system through the throat, diffusion pipe and discharge pipe.

When installing a hydraulic ejector, the lower end of the discharge pipe does not need to be immersed in the water layer of the water tank. The water seal formed when the lower end extends into the water can not overcome the phenomenon of backflow of cooling water, on the contrary, it will only increase the backflow of cooling water. The hydraulic jetting apparatus has double functions, no need to install vacuum pump and water pump. It has simple structure and convenient operation. There is no mechanical operation part, high efficiency, less energy consumption than other types, but more water consumption, and a certain degree of cleanliness of cooling water is required, otherwise the nozzle is easy to be blocked.
