The limit pressure of one pump and one water ring pump is 400pa, which can meet the general vacuum demand, but its range of use will be limited to a certain extent. If two roots pumps are used in series and combined with the water ring pump, the limit pressure of the unit can be greatly increased (up to 25Pa). Therefore, in this type, it is usually seen that two roots pumps are connected in series and then the two-stage pump is used as the front stage pump to form the unit. If a higher limit pressure is required, three roots pumps can be used in combination with water ring pump, and its limit pressure can reach 1pA.
If the third stage water ring unit still can not meet the limit pressure, we can use water ring pump parallel mechanical vacuum pump. This unit is mainly used in the vacuum system which needs to deal with a large amount of water vapor for a long time and requires a very high limit vacuum degree, such as in the aspect of vacuum drying.
If it is required to deal with a large amount of water vapor in the vacuum system, it is more appropriate to use the water ring pump, but because its limit vacuum is not high, the limit vacuum of the whole unit is low (this is only relative). Although in the vacuum pumping system which requires higher vacuum degree, the mechanical vacuum pump with higher limit vacuum is needed as the front pump. The air ballast mechanical vacuum pump can be paralleled with the water ring pump as the front pump of the pump. During vacuum drying, the water ring pump is used for pre pumping until its water vapor is greatly reduced, and then the pneumatic mechanical vacuum pump is started to cut off the water ring pump. If it takes a long time to complete the drying situation, the cooling water and power required are relatively small.
