How to Improve the Performance of Vacuum Pump
Although the defects of vacuum pumps are various, the vast number of defects can be cleaned. Sometimes, a new pump, for some consumer applications, still feels its limit vacuum is not high enough, repair mission can also try to improve some of the early repair methods, processes, key parts of the analysis, can find a solution.
Some pumps are not very low in terms of their ultimate vacuum, but they are expected to move forward in terms of consumption. How should we proceed? When the pump was later discontinued, no major defects were found. Consumption expects it to fluctuate to more than 75 cells of thermocouple vacuum gauge (equivalent to 5*10-4 Torres measured by Maxwell gauge), but in practice it is not much lower than expected.
When repairing, the dimension of the non-essential part of the rotor is 0.04 mm at the cut point, 0.07 mm at both sides of the high vacuum chamber, 0.08 mm at both sides of the low vacuum chamber and 0.02 mm shorter than the rotor blade. These data are normal.
For repairing this kind of pump, we should start with reducing its gap. First of all, try to change its fair value: replace the axle sleeve at both ends with a fair sleeve to reduce the upper cut-off point gap to 0.02mm; grind the pump chamber of the high vacuum chamber to 0.03mm; grind the pump chamber of the low vacuum chamber to 0.04mm. After cleaning, put it on the platform to assemble (no positioning pin), while assembling, use manual disc pump wheel, and tighten the screw with diagonal even rope ruler.
