Two-stage water ring vacuum pump

Two-stage water-ring vacuum pump is a water-ring vacuum pump composed of two impellers in series on one pump shaft. Generally, the outer diameter of the second stage impeller is the same as that of the first stage impeller, but the width of the impeller is reduced by half. The gas is discharged after two stages of compression.

Characteristic:

1. Gas volume curve decreases more gently, so it still has larger gas volume under higher vacuum or higher exhaust pressure, and its working condition is stable. The single-stage single-acting water-ring vacuum pump has a sharp drop in gas volume at a higher vacuum (higher than the critical vacuum of the pump), and its work is very unstable. It has a greater noise and even vibration. Single-stage double-acting water ring vacuum pump can not achieve such a high vacuum.

2. Higher vacuum or exhaust pressure can be obtained than single stage water ring vacuum pump.

3. Two-stage water-ring vacuum pumps are especially suitable for combination with high vacuum pumps such as Roots pump and steam jet pump. As their pre-vacuum pumps, the whole unit can obtain stable pumping performance in a larger vacuum range.

4. Generally, it is single-acting in the axial direction, but also double-acting in the axial direction and radial direction. Its structure is more complex.

5. The structure of multi-stage water ring vacuum pump with two or more stages is complex, and its compression capacity is not proportional to the increase, so it is generally not used.
