In this paper, several main applications are briefly introduced. First, in optics, a layer or several layers of different materials on the surface of an optical glass or quartz can be used as a reflective or non-reflective material (i.e. antireflective film) or as a reflective or transmissive material in any desired proportion. It can also be used as a filter for absorbing one wavelength and transmitting another wavelength. High-reflective coatings are needed from large-aperture astronomical telescopes and lasers to coated jasmine on windows of new buildings. Antireflective coatings are widely used in photography and various lasers, starting with coated glass for windows of new buildings, which are needed.
