Principle of pumping liquid by water ring pump

Therefore, the power of water ring pump in pumping liquid is very low (compared with pumping air) The power should not exceed 15 ~ 20%, because of the huge hydraulic loss and the "water conveyor effect" (when the liquid flows to the pressure outlet area, the liquid flows from the place with large radius to the place with small radius, and the liquid transfers its own energy to the impeller, just like the water conveyor), the lift is much smaller in practice. The head of water ring pump is smaller than that of centrifugal pump of the same scale.
