Rotary vane pump is mainly composed of pump body, rotor, rotary vane, end cover, spring and so on. A rotor is eccentrically installed in the cavity of the rotary vane pump. The outer circle of the rotor is tangent to the inner surface of the pump cavity (there is a small gap between them). Two rotary vanes with springs are installed in the rotor groove. When the rotor rotates, the rotary vane can slide back and forth along its radial groove and keep in contact with the inner wall of the pump shell. The rotary vane rotates with the rotor and can divide the vacuum pump chamber into several variable volumes.
When operating rotary vane vacuum pump, the following points should be paid attention to:
1. Before using rotary vane vacuum pump, ensure the cleanliness of the pump and prevent impurities from entering the pump. To check the oil level, it is advisable to inject oil to the center of the oil mark when the pump is stopped. Too low can not seal the oil of the exhaust valve and affect the vacuum. Excessive height will cause fuel injection during start-up of ventilation. When running, the oil level rises, which is a normal phenomenon. Oil is added from the injection hole by using the prescribed brand of clean vacuum pump oil. After refueling, the screw plug should be screwed up. Oil should be filtered to prevent impurities from entering and plugging oil holes. Fuel should be added to vacuum pump oil according to the scale indicated by the oil mark. Rotate the three-way valve to make the suction pipe of the pump communicate with the atmosphere, and isolate it from the emptied container and open the exhaust port.

2. When the ambient temperature is too high, the temperature of oil increases, the viscosity decreases and the saturated vapor pressure increases, which will cause the limit vacuum to decrease, especially the total pressure measured by thermocouple. It is considered that if the ventilation and heat dissipation are strengthened or the pump oil performance is improved, the ultimate vacuum degree can be improved.
3. Vacuum pumps should not be used to extract gases with high oxygen content, explosive and corrosive to metals. In addition, it is not advisable to inhale gases that react with pump oil and gases containing large amounts of water vapor, etc.
4. The pump can be started at the next time in the open air or any vacuum. If the pump mouth is connected with solenoid valve, it should be operated at the same time with the pump.

5. After the pump is running normally, the three-way valve is rotated slowly, so that the suction pipe of the pump is connected with the emptied container and isolated from the atmosphere.
6. Rotate the pulley by hand, check the running condition, after no abnormal situation, turn on the power supply, pay attention to the direction of rotation.
7. After using for a period of time, the belt becomes relaxed and the position of the motor should be adjusted. Attention should be paid to supplementing the pump oil. When impurities or water are found in the pump oil, new oil should be replaced and the pump body cleaned. No volatile liquids such as acetic acid and acetone should be used to clean the pump body.

8. Check the limit vacuum of the vacuum pump according to the compressed mercury vacuum gauge. If the pump temperature is stable after full pre-pumping effect, the pump mouth and gauge are connected directly, and the limit vacuum will be reached within 30 minutes of operation. The value measured by total pressure gauge is related to the errors of pump oil, vacuum gauge and regulation, and sometimes the errors may even be very large.
9. If the relative humidity is high or the exhausted gas contains more condensable steam, it is advisable to open the air ballast valve after connecting the exhausted container, and close the air ballast valve after 20-40 minutes of movement. Before stopping the pump, the ballast valve can be opened for 30 minutes without load to prolong the life of the pump oil.
10. When stopping using the pump, in order to maintain a certain degree of vacuum in the vacuum system, the three-way valve should be rotated to make the vacuum system closed and the suction pipe of the pump communicates with the atmosphere. Cut off the power supply and stop running. Close the exhaust port and cover the pump cover.
