Main parameters of vacuum pump

The main parameters of vacuum pump are as follows:

(1) Pumping rate. When a pump is equipped with a standard experimental cover and operates under specified conditions, the ratio of the flow rate of gas flowing through the experimental cover to the equilibrium pressure at the specified position on the experimental cover is referred to a s pumping speed in m3/a or L/s.

(2) Pumping capacity. Gas flow through the inlet of the pump in units of Pa.m3/s or Pa.L/s.

(3) Limit pressure. When the pump is equipped with a standard test cover and operates under specified conditions, the minimum pressure tends to be stable without introducing gas into normal operation, in unit of Pa.

(4) Start-up pressure. The pressure when the pump starts without damage and has the function of pumping, Pa.

(5) Front pressure. The exhaust pressure is lower than the outlet pressure of a vacuum pump at atmospheric pressure. The unit is Pa.

(6) Maximum front-stage pressure. If the pump exceeds this value, it will be called maximum front-stage pressure in units of Pa.

(7) Maximum working pressure. It corresponds to the maximum suction and inlet pressure. Under this pressure, the pump can work continuously without deterioration or damage.

(8) Compression ratio. The ratio of the outlet pressure of a pump to the inlet pressure of a given gas.
