2BV Water Ring Vacuum Pump of cavitation Phenomenon

When the vaporization pressure of 2BV water ring vacuum pump liquid is reduced to the vaporization pressure at a certain temperature, the liquid will produce bubbles. This phenomenon of bubble formation is called cavitation. When the bubbles generated by cavitation flow to the high pressure, their volume decreases to collapse. The phenomenon that bubbles disappear in liquids due to pressure rise is called cavitation collapse. This is also the problem of 2BV water ring vacuum pump in use. How to deal with this problem? The measures to prevent cavitation are as follows:

1. Reduce the height of geometric suction (or increase the height of geometric backfilling).

2. To reduce the inhalation loss hc, we can try to increase the pipe diameter and minimize the pipe length, elbows and accessories.

3. Prevent long-term operation under large flow.

4. Under the same speed and flow rate, the double suction pump is adopted, because the inlet flow rate is reduced and the cavitation of 2BV water ring vacuum pump is not easy to occur.

5. When cavitation occurs in the pump, the flow rate should be reduced or the speed should be reduced.

6. For pumps operating under harsh conditions, anti-cavitation materials can be used to avoid cavitation damage.

If cavitation occurs in the use of 2BV water ring vacuum pump, it will be destroyed, noise and vibration will also occur and the performance of the pump will be reduced. Seriously, the liquid in the pump will be interrupted and the pump will not work properly. Therefore, it is very important to prevent cavitation in 2BV water ring vacuum pump.
