1. Roots pump should be installed in dry, ventilated and clean place 

2. Roots pump should be installed horizontally, and the gap between pump and wall or other objects should be kept at least 300 mm. The oil window part of the pump shall be provided with space for easy observation of oil level.

3. When connecting the power supply, pay attention to the rotation direction of the motor. From the tail of roots pump motor, the rotation direction of motor shaft should be clockwise.

Operation steps: turn on the three-phase power supply of the motor, click the start button of the motor to check whether the steering direction is correct. If the steering direction is opposite, replace any two of the three power supply terminals.

4. The pipeline connecting roots pump and pumped vessel shall be clean, dry and free of leakage. The diameter of pipeline shall not be less than the inlet diameter of roots pump as far as possible, and the length shall be short to reduce the loss of pumping speed, and there shall be no leakage at the joint of pipeline.

5. If the extracted gas contains dust or granular substances, a suitable air inlet filter should be installed at the inlet of the pump to avoid damage to roots pump and front stage pump by dust or granular substances. (after the filter is installed, the pumping speed and limit pressure of roots pump will be affected, and the influence degree varies with the structure of the filter).
