How to use and use the laboratory freeze dryer

I. Prefreezing Operation
(1) Turn on the refrigerator and pre-cool the equipment. When the temperature of the cold trap drops below - 40 C, the material can be pre-frozen.
(2) Put the material into the material tray (liquid is directly injected into the material tray, solid or bottled material is evenly placed on the material tray);
(3) Put the material tray into the pre-freezing rack, and the probe into the material tray to fully contact with the material, so as to reduce the error between the sample temperature and the actual temperature.
(4) Place the pre-freezing shelf in the cold trap;
(5) Cover the insulation cover;
(6) After pre-freezing until the temperature of each part of the material drops below the eutectic point of the material, the pre-freezing can be completed for about 1 hour and ready to enter the drying stage.
2. Drying operation
(1) Remove the pre-freezing rack from the cold trap;
(2) Remove the pre-frozen material and put it on the drying rack;
(3) Place the drying rack on the cold trap, as shown in the figure.
(4) On the premise that the sealing ring is intact and free of debris, cover the "plexiglass cylinder";
(5) Clockwise tighten the drain valve;
(6) Open the vacuum pump and the vacuum gauge. The vacuum degree decreases, and the value of vacuum degree < 20 PA is normal in general drying process.
(7) Hang the flask one by one and open the multi-manifold valve; close the multi-manifold valve after drying the material in the flask and remove the flask.
(8) After drying, first open the "water (air) valve" and then close the vacuum pump. Remove the plexiglass cover and collect the dried matter.
(9) Close the "water (air) valve", defrost the equipment, open the "water (air) valve" drainage after defrosting, wipe the equipment clean.
(10) When the vacuum pump is not working, cover the exhaust holes to prevent dust from entering.
